When
you're away from home, wouldn't you prefer someone to see to and
feed your pet rats or mice that understands and appreciates these
unique and amazing animals? Considering the stigma that's often
associated with rodents, particularly rats and mice, it can be difficult
to find a sitter willing to interact with them.
Pet rats
make wonderful pets! My oldest, Grizzle (pictured below), is such
a character! Plus, I've spent time regularly socializing the rats
and mice we carried at the pet store to improve their chances of
being selected for good forever homes.
Chinchillas,
rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, sugar gliders, guinea pigs, and rabbits
are all welcome! Just know that I do have a strong allergy to guinea
pigs, so their care will have to be restricted to light cage cleaning
and feedings.

During
these visits I will refill food and water as needed, scoop litter
and replace bedding, spot-clean the cage, administer required medications
orally or topically, and provide some playtime and TLC (assuming
the animal wishes to be handled), followed by a treat.
If you
would like fresh fruits and vegetables to be fed, just make sure
supplies and utensils are provided.
Pet
Rodent or Rabbit Visit
|
Minimum
30-minute visit at $15
(unless
combined with other pet services in which case it may be discounted) |

We
all fall behind on our chores from time to time, but it's important
that our pets' health and comfort not suffer as a result. A
bi-weekly to monthly deep cleaning and disinfecting is generally
recommended for small animal habitats and cages, especially if anyone
in your household suffers from allergies.
Safe,
non-toxic cleaning products approved for use on small animal cages
will be furnished by yours truly if you don't mind supplying the
drying towels and fresh bedding!
Toys
and hammocks can also be placed in the laundry or hand-washed, if
you prefer.
